The first big journey that Dean made after leaving home was the trip that he
made from Newport Pagnell to Manchester where he ventured on his university
years. It was here he met his forever friends, his lovely wife, setup home
and brought his 3 children into the world. It's a 'Home to Home to Home'
journey as we also go via Glenfield (Leicestershire) his first home with
Caroline.
This year we are all taking on that journey but not with a car full of boxes
of Uni stuff...instead we are doing it on our bikes over 2.5 days. We shall
follow the M1, A50 and M6, the same route that Dean took all those years ago
but on lovely lanes, bike routes, disused railways, canal tow paths, forest
paths and B-roads. It's a lot of miles this year and its all uphill!!
So, for this intrepid group of bikers who commit year after year to get
their pedalling legs "on it", their bikes polished, their muscular physiques
tightly packed into Lycra, please help us in getting their spirits into the
zone and in raising funds for the worthy Dean Masom Brain Tumour Research
Fund.
Thank you, Hayley
